I keep reading about escrow from the buyer's perspective, but I'm selling and wondering what's in it for me. If the buyer gets the car and then claims it wasn't as described, can they just refuse to release my money? How do sellers protect themselves in an escrow deal?

Escrow is neutral — it protects both sides. The buyer can't just refuse without cause; they have to raise a documented dispute and the agent reviews it.

Take thorough timestamped photos and a video walkaround before shipping. If a dispute opens, that's your evidence that it left you in the condition described.
